Holy Rosary Home Coming
"Come Celebrate With Us!"
In this time of cluster reorganization, Holy Rosary Church in
Caribou held a three-day Home Coming Celebration, June
3-5 to bring the parishioners and the larger community
together. A Rick Charette Concert for the young and
young at heart on Friday evening started the festivities
that ended Sunday with a chicken barbeque put on by the
K. of C. At the Saturday Mass there was a rededication of
the Holy Rosary statue of Mary which had been repainted;
the Sunday Mass was graced by a most lively children's
choir. A fine dinner catered by Frederick's Southside took
place Saturday evening, followed by a Casino for the
adults. Calling the weekend a true celebration of all the
people, young and old, the pastor, Rev. Jean- Paul Labrie
stated, "There was something for everyone. It was an
opportunity for people to come together and to see that we
are here and we plan to stay."
Sam Collins, Chairman of the Homecoming Core
Committee, declared, "Celebrating the weekend with
Catholics and the community was just part of the satisfaction
of being involved with the Home Coming Weekend. The
greater gift to each of the hundreds of volunteers was that
each of us made new connections with fellow parishioners,
we truly felt the Spirit. This celebration is just the begining,
people are already excited about the next "Home
Coming!"
